Junior Commercial / Regulatory Lawyer

A medium sized financial services company is keen to bolster its senior legal department with 2 junior lawyers. This finance company provide specialist lending as well as insurance finance, and being private equity backed and with a highly influential CEO, it has become a really interesting place to work. Working with 2 senior lawyers you will be exposed to everything that comes into the legal department, from supplier contracts to agreements with insurance brokers, and all regulatory matters. Much of the commercial work is bespoke and can be learned on the job, and on the regulatory side whilst exposure to consumer credit, retail banking or insurance would be useful, only transferable experience is required. General in-house legal matters could include employment issues, pre litigation, and data privacy.

This organisation is looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, can help drive efficiency, and wants to get involved in technology to improve the legal department. They are prepared to upskill someone with the right attitude and ability, and are open to those that have trained in-house as well as in practice. 0-4 years qualified is the ideal range although experienced paralegals would also be considered.
