Associate Director – Civil Infrastructure/Transport Planning

Ideally they are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Associate Director to join their team as an Account/Service Manager in Birmingham. Your brief will be to manage the practices Midlands and Southern regions through their Transport and Infrastructure Design Development Service.
The role will support the existing senior management team within the Service and will be responsible for the overall operational and technical delivery of the Birmingham and London Transport and Infrastructure Design Development teams. On a day–to–day basis the role will be responsible for ensuring projects are appropriately resourced and technical delivery is in line with their Account Management process.
Responsibilities will include leading project delivery for key clients, monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of the teams, leading on future recruitment strategies, and ensuring the teams are continually improving their technical and commercial acumen.
You will be well versed in maintaining and developing client relationships through regular communication with Account Directors, and to add to this support teams in developing new opportunities with emerging clients.
A talented and highly creative team await you with a real mix of work ranging from urban regeneration and new buildings to strategic development infrastructure.
There will be responsibility for managing this comprehensive design and advisory service focused on meeting the engineering challenges involved in servicing development across all sectors, including:– transport, residential, commercial, industrial, health and retail sectors and our clients range from local and national developers and contractors to public sector bodies.
It is hoped for your part that you will be a sound communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate with clients as well as statutory authorities. You will be have a strong infrastructure design background, as well as across a variety of sectors.
Additionally experience of working within and in guiding/leading multi–disciplinary project teams on large scale (ha) commercial and residential developments from project inception to completion.
A good knowledge of the UK Planning system, with a record of contributing to and influencing successful planning applications, securing both detailed and outline consents.
