Managing Director
Buckinghamshire Healthcare Projects Ltd
Salary – Negotiable

Buckinghamshire Healthcare Projects Limited (BHPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. Incorporated in 2018, we provide services that support the Trust to achieve its vision and strategy, and to deliver a financial return that can be reinvested in NHS services.

BHPL is now a profitable company and we have developed a strong platform for growth. We currently have three outpatient pharmacy branches and a developing retail business. In addition to this, we have ambitious plans, these include achieving certification as a social enterprise in the next few months to encapsulate our "raison d'etre".

Our parent company, Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT), are a provider of acute hospital and community services for 600,000 people living in Buckinghamshire and surrounding counties in Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and London. In 2019, BHT achieved a "good "CQC rating (outstanding in caring) and has recently approved a new vision and strategy; Outstanding Care, Healthy Communities, and a Great Place to Work. BHT has a number of nationally recognised speciality areas which include the National Spinal Injuries Centre, Burns and Plastics, Opthalmology and Cardiology.

To take BHPL to the next level we now seek to appoint an experienced Managing Director to oversee and deliver our next three year business plan and lead our plans to treble turnover and profit. In addition to this, the Managing Director will shape plans to go beyond this, by seeking and seizing opportunities within the Trust and in the wider region.

As a suitable candidate you will have the ability to apply sound business knowledge and experience to all and any aspect of the business, this may include private patients, retail, property, and possibly some clinical services. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships at both Trust and system level.

Most of all we are looking for a candidate whose values and ambitions are aligned to the culture and ethos of what we are trying to build. If you are attracted by what you have read and would like to join our ambitious and committed leadership team, then we would welcome your interest and application.
