Head of Training Recruitment Consultancy

Location: London (with some travel to the US)

Package: GBP60,000 + up to GBP20,000 in Bonus p/a + Benefits

Annual Leave: 25 days per annum

Centurion Selection is a highly successful privately–owned US recruitment consultancy. We have offices in Houston, TX, and Miami, FL, with plans to expand to other US locations. The business operates in the construction and property sectors. Our success comes from our expertise, deep sector knowledge, fantastic candidate networks, and a commitment to developing our people. Founded by UK recruiters the business is now looking to set up a UK arm, starting with a recruitment academy. The academy will aim to develop UK recruiters who will then be able to move to the US under the company's E2 Visa. To launch this new UK hub the business is looking for an ambitious L&D professional to take on the role of Head of Training Recruitment Consultancy.

Overview

The Head of Training Recruitment Consultancy, the role represents an important part of our business strategy and will be a key member of our UK management team. The role will be accountable for delivering future consultants to our US business. This includes ensuring that all new hires are imbued with our culture and values. The role will initially manage a team of 6–10 resourcing consultants/researchers. The aim is to take each one through to 360?? consultant in a period of 6–9 months before that consultant being deployed to the US.

Key Responsibilities

The role will have the following responsibilities:

* Management of the onboarding and induction of new hires.

* Setting up the UK academy. This will include liaising with our US–based managers, understanding our existing sales and recruiting processes, and developing an academy program for our new starters.

* Ensure that appropriate metrics are in place for measuring new hires' performance.

* Providing training, coaching, and mentoring for our UK–based hires and selective support for US–based colleagues. The role is primarily UK–based but may involve occasional trips to our offices in Houston, TX and Miami, FL.

* Creation of training content and setting up a training library.

* Overseeing resourcing activities. Our resourcing consultants and researchers will be managing active roles on behalf of our US–based consultants.

* Creating a high–performance culture amongst our new hires. Ensuring that our values are at the forefront of our training and processes.

* Taking a hands–on approach to internal recruitment for the team. This will initially involve accountability for sourcing new hires for the business and managing a selection process. Later the business will look to add a talent acquisition professional to the team.

* Supporting our team in the visa process for successful hires, assisting the preparation of CVs, collecting visa submission evidence, and preparing consultants for embassy interviews.

* Assisting the business as appropriate in other tasks as required from time to time.

About You

This role will be in, at the start of our UK operation and influence our overall company growth and culture. Ideally, you will be/have:

* Relevant experience in developing a high–performing academy or training function in a professional recruitment company context.

* Can deliver a mix of training methods including formal training, coaching, and mentoring.

* Ability to be flexible on working hours, the UK operation will be working US hours (1pm–10pm).

* Passionate about learning and development, you keep up to date with new developments and best practices in your area.

* Have a strategic mindset and can analyse and plan effectively.

* Be a good communicator with an ability to handle multiple stakeholders, including remote colleagues in the US
