Finance Director

This is a highly commercial Finance Director opportunity that has become available to to promotion within this long established and growing construction group. The Finance Director will the 'right hand' person to the Managing Director and play a key role as part of the senior management team to ensure that the division meets it's objectives. Your remit will include:

·Strategic and financial leadership of the division also ensuring it's objectives are aligned to the overall group plan

·Support and challenge the SMT providing key business insights and developing new KPI’s to ensure decisions are made based on robust information

·Responsibility for all statutory reporting and compliance matters including owning relationships with external advisors and auditors

·Preparation of medium and long term operating plan with responsibility for accurate budgeting and regular forecast reviews

·Development of business case review processes with overall responsibility for working capital management and shrewd investment

·Ensuring a robust risk management framework is in place

·Leadership and development of a high performing finance team

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Successful progressive career track record with significant experience or working within the construction sector
• Qualified accountant – ACA / GCMA / ACCA
• A leader with an influential and inspiring style – someone who the management team will gravitate to and trust
• Exceptional stakeholder relationship management skills across multiple functions
• Passionate about improving the quality of financial reporting and information to support and influence business decisions
• Highly operational focus – someone who thrives on driving great performance
• Fully up to date with reporting standards
