Flexible and attractive salary to attract the best individual + executive package

Kawasaki Precision Machinery forms part of the global Kawasaki group. The Heavy Industries division achieves an annual revenue of $35bn and is growing. Today the Kawasaki brand is synonymous with quality and innovation in hydraulic pumps, motors, valves and complete systems across the whole spectrum of applications. The UK operation is located on the Tamar Estuary in Plymouth and occupies a 20,000 m2 facility. With revenues increasing and their 3-year plan underway, the UK operation will increase in size rapidly. There has been significant investment into the site which has manifested itself in increased productivity, improved business systems and the ability to attract new and diverse commercial opportunities. As the group diversifies and modernises its products, the UK will be at the forefront of that and benefit from further investment.

Having built their reputation through quality of product design and high service values, they are now looking to appoint an individual to lead their finance activities with the appointment of a Head of Finance.

The role is responsible for ensuring the company complies with local and international accounting standards and procedures and act as Company Secretary. In addition, the job holder will hold ultimate responsibility for financial forecasting, planning, management of foreign exchange and should therefore also ensure compliance with local and international legislation relating to these areas of the business.

This will require an individual to take the initiative and be proactive with all financial matters as they continue to build their business.

Experience gained within a manufacturing environment is important although a demonstrable, successful track record managing finance activities is of significant interest. Given the importance of the role, Kawasaki are keen to attract an individual who can add value and develop with the company as it grows in the UK.
