Our Higher Education client are looking to appoint a Head of Quality Assurance and Enhancement to provide strategic leadership, advice and expertise on quality assurance and enhancement policies and procedures. Reporting to the Provost, the successful candidate will work with senior, School and Service staff at one of the most socially inclusive and international Universities in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Heading the Quality Assurance and Enhancement team to ensure a responsive and high–quality service.

Lead quality and standards activity as it relates to external regulatory expectations, metrics, and benchmarks, and develop and maintain professional links with QAA, other HE agencies and relevant professional statutory bodies acting as the institutional contact point as required.

Oversee the University's response to and ensure implementation of the UK Quality Code and any other requirements of QAA or other quality assurance bodies.

Acting as the principal institutional source of advice and guidance concerning academic quality assurance and enhancement policy, procedures, and practice, and recommend and manage updates.

Essential Criteria

Educated to degree level alongside a relevant postgraduate or professional qualification.

Substantial experience at a senior level of quality assurance and enhancement in a large UK HE establishment.

High level understanding of the implications of higher education policy in the context of quality assurance and enhancement procedures and processes,

Diplomatic, resourceful, and proficient in building key stakeholder relationships
