Head of Finance Job based North Kent £65k permanent. Mix of office and home working available

Your new company
You will be working for an establish Not for profit organisation in the North Kent/SE London area. The Head of Finance job requires a forward thinker who will form part of the Senior Leadership team to drive the organisation forward. The organisation is in a period of expansion and the next five years will see the organisation grow. The organisation also offer Hybrid working patterns with a mix of home and office based working a 35 hour week.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the running of the whole finance function which will include the management of a team of 3 which will also include recruitment and learning and development of this team. You will responsible for the financial management which includes reporting, budgets, forecast, supporting the organisation in decision-making, annual accounts and audit. You will complete the financial accounting, maintain accounting records, supplier payments and credit control. You will work with the SLT to produce and update strategy; specific responsibility for financial plan; prepare and maintain implementation plan. You will work with trustees to ensure good governance utilising Charity Commission and NCVO tools. You will negotiate new leases, support Head of Operations; renew existing leases; work with lawyers. You will work with CEO and Head of Operations on new business opportunities; prepare proposals for trustees including pricing, set and maintain Housing Benefit, Service Charge and rents. You will manage the IT function with an external support company.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be an ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA Qualified Finance professional who has worked at Head of Finance level or above. You will have worked as part of a Senior Leadership Team in driving an organisation forward. You will have great experience in strategy, have commercial acumen to enable business development
and be an advisor, confidante and challenger to the CEO. Previous management of IT would be an advantage but the external support team do this day to day and can advise on strategy. Ideally you will be from a Not-For-Profit background, however the organisation are open to all industries.

What you'll get in return
You will recieve a salary in the region of £60k - £65k DOE with additional company benefits. Hybrid and flexible working options available.
