The Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join their business development, marketing and bid team. Working within a 30 strong team you will be supporting the Partners within their Energy & Utilities Projects . This role will be to ensure that the strategy is implemented consistently across the sector and working as part of this incredibly busy team you will also be responsible for their wider collaborative marketing department.

Within this role you will quickly develop an in–depth knowledge of sector issues with the overall goal to provide practical advice and guidance to achieve the most effective and commercially valuable business development activities. As the business development expert, the lawyers will rely on you to identify opportunities for growth, continue to expand the CRM programme and ensure both current and prospective clients are aware of the exceptional work that they do.

You will support lawyers in producing quality pitches via a competitive tender process to appoint legal advisors. You will also be monitoring upcoming opportunities to win work.

You will also work with your Marketing Communications colleagues on specific campaigns. You will monitor the effectiveness of these plans and campaigns and be constantly reviewing the effectiveness of the business development activity that is taking place.

Your business development expertise will be valued and respected by the lawyers that you are working with. As a marketing professional you will be able to quickly instil confidence and trust and be able to influence senior colleagues..

The Person:

For this role our client is seeking someone who has worked in a similar role across any industry but ideally you will have knowledge of the energy and utilities sector. This is a very busy team across the firm and it's essential you will be able to engage with a variety of stakeholders across the business. Your responsibility within this role will be to account manager a variety of projects and drive activity across the team. It's also important that you have experience of writing and delivering proposals and bids. Within this role your ability to be adaptable and re–prioritise your workload will also come into play. The Salary:

Up to GBP65,000
