Finance Director / Chief Financial Officer (Part-time)

Search Laboratory is an established, growing and ambitious Digital Marketing agency with offices in Leeds, New York and Austin, Texas. We are looking for a new Finance Director/CFO who, as a member of the Board of Directors and reporting to the CEO, will play an integral role in driving and shaping our business.

You will be a trusted member of a stable and strong senior leadership team; involved in both the day–to–day management of the company and the formulation and implementation of the overall strategic plan.

Our finance team, headed by our Financial Controller (ACCA qualified) is similarly well established. This role includes leadership of our Financial Controller and In–house Legal Counsel. As a strategic partner we will be looking to you for your financial and commercial expertise, as well as your ability to proactively challenge and inspire.

Key responsibilities:

Attending weekly and monthly planning meetings – for both our UK and US offices – with your fellow Directors, our CEO and Executive Chairman (who is the business owner)

Strategic planning to drive efficiency and improvement across the business

Upholding excellent management information systems to support decision making and reporting

Overall responsibility for the construction of the annual budget and three–year forecast, including a mid–year reforecast

Leading and participating in key company initiatives

Sharing financial updates with the wider business and speaking at internal company events

Liaising with external providers on Group matters such as annual audits, foreign currency, company insurance, corporation, EMI, pension scheme tax returns

Confidence in challenging the status quo and bring new ideas to enhance the value of the business

You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with extensive accounting and financial planning /analysis at Board level

What you can expect from us

The full–time equivalent for this salary is GBP81,000 – GBP85,000 per annum
