Rexel UK are currently recruiting a Talent Director, reporting in the HR Director. This is a brand new role which has been created to lead the talent development function including learning programs across the organisation as well as managing the mix and resourcing requirements in line with our cultural strategy.

The Talent Director will ensure that the hiring process feeds correctly the talent requirement for our future landscape and direction while at the same time developing people for promotion and succession purposes. Selecting externally those at entry level who can grow beyond where they are today, have great character and values and have the desire to learn. Developing internally those who have the aspiration to develop into future leaders.

What does the job involve?

As a Talent Director for Rexel, you will be responsible for:

* Effectively lead the day–to–day talent strategy and Design, Develop and maintain the digital L&D strategy, utilising existing and new technologies.

* Develop a strong Employee Value Proposition that enhances attraction and positive online presence and eReputation.

* Develop our job design to fit the future needs of our growth strategy in a digital environment.

* Build a diverse, inclusive and engaged culture through attraction strategies outside of the traditional processes which target areas short of diversity against the UK norms.

* Create engagement through learning experiences, our Academy, leadership programmes, Trainees, Apprenticeships and other programmes to give a full 360 learning experience.

* In conjunction with internal communications, market and publicise learning and growth opportunity.

* Review performance evaluations and conduct skills gap analyses through to succession plans and calibration.

* Monitor and report on KPI's with recommended solutions to reduce turnover rates, increase hire from within

* Develop employee retention programs and team–building activities

* Design policies that support internal promotions

* Set out career paths, competencies against each position's responsibilities

* Discuss career–pathing options with high–potential employees and their team leaders

* Perform benchmark research on compensation and benefits and provide feedback to feed our future strategy

* Develop onboarding experiences that reduce time, increase learning and provide experience

* Coach employees and act as their consultant regarding learning and development activities

To be a successful Talent Director in Rexel, you will need:

* Experience of succession planning and calibration, workforce planning and performance evaluations

* Deign and delivery of training programmes, career paths and competency frameworks

* Familiar with government Apprenticeships programmes and previous experience of set up designing traineeships

* Building resourcing campaigns and solutions

* Previous Success Factors experience or similar

* Previous RPO, neutral vend, national agency, Supplier and agency contract terms of business negotiation

* Conversant with LinkedIn and social media/ job boards generally

* Diversity strategies, targeted audiences, military, charity and other resourcing pools

* CIPD or equivalent qualification or experience

* BPS A psychometric testing (advantageous)
