Join our family–centred leadership team and change lives.

Surrey's children's services have been on an ambitious improvement journey, which places children and their families at the heart of everything we do. Our family–centred leadership team have driven positive change, from the way we are structured to our social work practice and have implemented innovative and creative approaches such as the Family Safeguarding model, the Mockingbird model for foster care and the No Wrong Door approach to support adolescents on the edge of care.

This role has been created to add capacity to our countywide Children with Disabilities service, ensuring consistency of practice and improved outcomes for all children. We believe every child deserves services of the highest quality and the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Crucial to success will be your ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Health, CAMHS, SEND and Adults Services, with a particular focus on preparing children for adulthood. A qualified social worker, you'll be an experienced leader in children's services, with the resilience and relentless drive to develop the workforce and improve practice. You'll be a natural collaborator and have a blend of strategic oversight and operational grip.

If you want to be at the forefront of national work, innovate with partners across countywide services, and work for a Council which is totally committed to improve children's lives then we'd love to hear from you.

For a confidential conversation, call Greg Hayes () or Anita Denton () at Tile Hill, or email to arrange a time to speak.
