Head of Talent Development
Location: UK with flexibility to travel nationally
Salary: GBP80,000 – GBP100,000 plus benefits
Working for one of the UK's leading multi–channel wholesalers, we're looking for a CIPD qualified Head of Talent Development to design and deliver a best–in–class leadership development programme.
In this newly created role, you will conduct a business–wide review and use your prior experience from a commercial environment to recommend and develop solutions that are fit for purpose.
Responsibilities include:
*Conducting reviews across the business to design a best–in–class leadership development programme. This will cover talent mapping, succession planning, appraisal and performance management for the Branch and Regional Management population
*Developing a communication plan, advising and informing stakeholders of interventions
*Working with business leaders to identify leadership development needs and recommend solutions
*Coaching leaders and their teams, providing them with skills development workshops
*Acting as a consultant on leadership development activity
*Conducting succession planning activities and developing talent pools and talent tracking methodologies
*Thinking and acting commercially to enable the delivery of leadership development activities in the most efficient way, contributing directly to growing the business
*Bringing outside experiences, insights and research into the work
*Managing budgets and measuring successful outcomes
*Working across departments to review internal talent and ensure that top talent is adequately supported to achieve their full potential
Experience required:
*Qualified to degree level, Chartered CIPD or equivalent level in HR
*Prior experience and the desire to create talent development and tracking capability in–house
*A previous successful track record of communicating and influencing at all levels of an organisation
*Five years plus experience as a senior talent specialist within a dynamic, commercial or entrepreneurial environment
*Flexible and adaptable in nature
*Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
