Our client, a mid–market private equity fund are looking to hire a Legal Counsel (Head of Legal) to join their London based team. The fund, which focuses on investing in high–growth business across the European market, has had a very successful past couple of years and have a number of growth plans and acquisitions lined up for the near future – making it a very exciting time to join!
As the Legal Counsel, you will immediately be afforded plenty of exposure, taking the lead on all legal responsibilities for the fund, investments and business whilst working very closely with the Managing Partner and senior investment team. This is a first–time hire for the fund and is a fantastic and rare opportunity for a legal professional with investment management experience to become an integral member of a market–leading fund.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- To act as the legal expert within the fund, working closely with the Managing Partner, front office and wider team.
- Lead on all legal aspects of the fund's transactions, both fund structuring and deal execution
- Working closely with the Managing Partner on all group legal matters across the fund and some of the group companies
- Liaise and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including external counsel
- Significant private equity or investment management deal experience
- Experience of working both in practice and in–house would be advantageous
- Comfortable in all aspects of group, structuring and transaction legal work
