Head of Finance, Technology Impact VC Fund, London, UK

We are partnering with a leading UK sustainable investment firm that has seen great success resulting in strong growth over the last ten years. On the back of this growth, the firm is now looking for a Head of Finance to join the team to oversee fund finance, lead on quarterly valuations, tax, management, regulation and HR.
This role will report to a CFO and the reins will be passed across over time, making this a perfect position for someone looking to learn from an experienced CFO before becoming the number one in a finance function.
The firm has a strong ethical culture, all of its investments are impact–focused, with an emphasis on technology. They have a diverse team from twelve different countries which has also contributed to their strong success.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a fund–finance professional from a VC or private equity firm, who is looking to step up with the added benefit of the current CFO as a mentor for the short–term, in a firm that has a truly brilliant set of values and culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overseeing fund accounting and administration, annual audits
• Collaborating with the IR team to answer investor requests
• Responsible for all fund & management company tax matters
• Mentoring and developing one direct report
• FCA financial reporting, and FATCA, CRS
• Member of the compliance committee
• Pay–roll and all HR matters

YOUR PROFILE:

• Fund–finance experience at a PE or VC firm
• A genuine interest in sustainable/impact investing
• Accounting qualification
• Strong academics
• Eager to develop and learn from an experienced CFO with the view to taking on C–suite level responsibility over time
