Head of Strategic Engagement

We are working on behalf of our highly regarded public sector client who require a Head of Strategic Engagement. This role will normally be based in Glasgow city centre, but will be home working until further notice. Hours of work Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (with flexibility). The role will be approx. until 31 March 2022 with a possible extension. It attracts a Daily Rate of GBP250.

This requirement has been categorised as inside IR35.

The role will support and report to the Director of Strategic Investment within Scottish Economic Development division of Scottish Enterprise with responsibility for leading development and delivery of the Company Strategic Engagement pilot, a critical, high priority new Company Engagement Strategy & Strategic Partnership model.

Key Responsibilities:
Leading with the Company Strategic Engagement team the development, building and delivery of the Company Strategic Engagement Strategy collaborating with partners & across SE.
Working with director responsibility for developing SE's Company Strategic Engagement Stakeholder and Partnership engagement, including Scottish Government, Skills Development Scotland, Local Authorities, other partner agencies and relevant business organisations.
Ensuring SE maximises every opportunity to focus Company Strategic Engagement strategy action on economic growth, demonstrating to our Partners, Stakeholders and Strategic Engagement Companies, SE's commitment to supporting Scotland's economic opportunities for growth in the most appropriate way possible.
Provided leadership, coaching, direction & support to the wider Company Strategic Engagement project team as required.
Engagement with and influencing peers & others both internally and with external partners & Strategic Engagement companies to ensure prioritisation and effective delivery of broad & complex Company Strategic Engagement priorities, impacting across SE, including Company Strategic Engagement Project, National Programmes, Global & BSA teams.
Engagement with and influencing of senior leadership across SE and key stakeholders including Scottish Government and partner agencies at a national, regional, and local level & Strategic Engagement companies to support delivery of Company Strategic Engagement Strategy & workstream objectives.
Effective & collaborative working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the effective performance management of the Company Strategic Engagement pilot.
Leading the planning, organising, coordinating, and managing people and resources to deliver the Company Strategic Engagement pilot.
Leading the Company Strategic Engagement pilot team to ensure awareness and implementation of all relevant policies and procedures to actively manage risk associated with the pilot
