An exciting opportunity has arisen within a South West NHS organisation who are looking to appoint a Head of Employee Relations for 18 months, to lead the Employee Relations team, co–designing and delivering a modern operational service.

Main responsibilities:

Lead the Employee Relations Team to co–design and deliver a modern operational ER service that is aligned to and underpinned by the holistic 'just and learning' principles, enabling the organisation to be inclusive, flexible and demonstrating that wellbeing is at the forefront of its conscience and practice;
Engage and work with staff side representatives in a spirit of effective and positive partnership working built on mutual respect and appreciation of respective roles;
Being an active and influential member of the Workforce Leads team, working closely with Resourcing Manager and Workforce & OD Business Partners to ensure open communication and sharing of information;
Liaise with external providers of legal advice;
Communicate complex and sensitive contentious information to staff, managers, directors and external agencies including solicitors;
Hold monthly contract meetings with Occupational Health provider ensuring delivery of KPIs and acting on trends and themes that OH have observed;
The postholder will ensure that System Leaders and Managers are well informed of all people policies and procedures, and the Team are coaching and supporting managers with people related issues and cases;
To take an active role in regional working groups regarding key People strategic issues as with Associate Director of Workforce and OD.
Key Skills/Experience:

Educated to a Master's level in HR field or equivalent work experience and knowledge in a range of areas e.g. HR, Organisational Development, Equality and Diversity, Learning and Development;
Advanced analytical skills with ability to draw conclusions from qualitative and quantitative from a wider range of data;
Previous experience in measurement against KPI's;
Demonstrable experience in change management in large, complex organisations.
