The Company

The company is a leading Cladding and Curtain Walling contractor carrying out design, supply and installation packages for high profile clients operating from offices based in Yorkshire and the Midlands. They work on a Variety of major projects in support of tier 1 Main Contractors with package values ranging from GBP100k to GBP10 million.

The Role

As a highly experienced Operations Director you will have top–level responsibility for the delivery of projects, ensuring the business meets and exceeds targets with profitability, sustainability, success and integrity. This is a newly created role within the business following a senior management reshuffle. You will report directly into the shareholding Directors and work closely with them to further build on the existing company growth and success. The position will require travel across the UK to regional offices and sites and there is the option for flexible work, however as the Operations Director there is requirement for office presence.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role, it is essential that you have the following;

A proven track record and demonstrable previous success in operational management in the building envelope industry, including in the management of teams, processes and functions applicable to this opportunity.
HND, NVQ Level 7 Operations Management, or equivalent proven experience.
NEBOSH Construction or proven track record of Health & Safety in role.
Good computer skills; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Full, clean UK driving license. The ability to travel to/from sites and undertake occasional overnight stays are a requirement of the role.Duties

Ensuring smooth delivery of projects under their control including ongoing profitability, integrity, sustainability and success
Responsibility for ensuring that the Company meets its legal requirements and upholds its policies for operational Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
Responsibility for establishing and achieving relevant operational KPIs and Objectives that support the Company's overall business strategies.
Identification, assessment and management of relevant risks and opportunities.
Help to shape and drive positive and market leading culture.
Produce and maintain a documented strategy, that draws directly from the Company's overall business strategies, for all operations under their control, inclusive of all reportable objectives and KPI's.
Work alongside HR, building a solid people strategy delivering high performance and robust succession planning, as they would be dealing with any escalated operational issues, adopting and retaining ownership through to satisfactory resolution.For more information or to apply call; Sam Hunter – Principal Consultant on (phone number removed)
