Head of Risk/Senior Risk Manager

This well regarded Financial Services and Insurance provider are looking to strengthen their senior management team by hiring a Head of Risk or Senior Risk Manager. The organisation is ethically principled and and is committed to technological development to improve outcomes for customers ,and the working environment for staff.

The role holder will work with the senior management team and ultimately be responsible for all aspects of financial, strategic, operational and emerging risk management for the organisation. The remit will be wide and varied but essentially you will maintain and continue to develop an effective risk management framework, ensuring seamless integration into the company's structure and decision making across a broad range of areas and potential liabilities.

The successful individual will very likely be from a Life Insurance background and already possess an extremely solid understanding of how the Life Insurers manage their risk factors, though candidates could equally have gained their experiene within the Risk Consulting sector.

You will be able to provide evidenced experience of embedding sound risk management techniques within a long–term insurance provider, having an excellent understanding of the UK insurance regulatory framework with a specific focus on Solvency II standards of risk management.

You will also need to keep up to date with all of the changing and incoming regulation and legislation changes that are coming into force, understanding how they will affect the organisation and moreover being able to communicate those changes and their affects to the wider work force.

ACII qualification would be preferred but not essential.
