Head of Mechanical Services
Your new company
Our client is a medium sized company who design, manufacture and install ventilation and air systems based in the outskirts of Edinburgh. They are looking to expand and grow the business as they are at the position where they feel they can start self–delivering their mechanical offering to their client base – who are mainly new builds and refurbs within the hospitality, hospitals and educational sectors. Because of this they are looking for the services of a Mechanical lead to head up the development of this side of the business covering Scotland and the North of England.
Your new role
As mechanical lead – the successful candidate will be a senior individual from a mechanical background and have experience in delivering 'front to back' mechanical projects – from assisting the business with bringing in work from existing and new clients, tendering for work, design of heating and mechanical services through to management of project delivery – they already have a very good back office estimating and administration team offering to support this role.
Getting this new exciting venture of the ground will be further assisted by the fact they already have some very good historical clients that traditionally they have had to sub contract the mechanical package out – this successful candidate will help the business start self–delivering this and grow this part of the business.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will either come from a smaller building services contractor wanting a new exciting challenge or from one of the more established larger building services contractors who is stuck in a rut and wanting a challenge that has less red tape and more autonomy to make a real difference and get involved with growing the company and becoming a real key member in achieving this.
