We are looking for a C&I Systems Engineer for a Nuclear Power Station in Dunbar Scotland

The post is required to be based in Dunbar area in Scotland and to have a C&I background and ideally, UK Security Clearance to SC level.
The post–holder will carry out the following duties and areas of responsibility;

• System engineer responsible for systems and roles including creating, implementing, delivering and reviewing maintenance policies.
• Acting as system manager with responsibility for the equipment reliability of assigned systems using the core fleet engineering and equipment reliability processes.
• Ensuring critical equipment is identified and that correct preventative maintenance programmes are in place to prevent unanticipated equipment failures.
• Responsible for the system health reviews, developing short to long term improvement plans, outage scope, defining maintenance policy, maintenance schedule changes, managing the PSR and lifetime management processes on their assigned systems.
• Monitoring and evaluating system performance using feedback from operations and maintenance.
• Ensuring the station maintenance strategy is aligned with plant needs and adjustments are made to the strategy as required to enhance equipment reliability.
• Where plant issues are identified, providing technical expertise and knowledge to troubleshooting activities ensuring robust corrective actions are in place to correct issues and prevent reoccurrence.
• Ensuring that all activities are carried out with full regard to agreed safety standards and expectations, site licence requirements, statutory regulations, company and local directives, procedures and safety rules and that they are in compliance with the station quality manual such that the prescribed service levels, standards and targets are being met.
• Participating in the on–line and outage work planning process providing engineering technical input as required ensuring prioritisation of work is based on the criticality of equipment and its potential impact on plant performance.
• Providing support to other station functions as required playing a pivotal role in event recovery and operational decision–making activities.
