Elevation Recruitment Group are on the lookout for a Group Manufacturing Director for a GBP150m+ manufacturing group.
Our client suppliers specialist products to a wide range if industries and has facilities all over the world.
They have experience tremendous growth over the last 10 years and the shows no sign of stopping.
With continued growth and maturity, their operations our client is seeking a strong technically competent candidate to lead the production, manufacturing and distribution facilities globally and be part of the leadership team to drive innovative technologies, manufacturing processes and digitization.
Reporting into the CEO the Group Manufacturing Director will be play a pivotal role in the group, supporting all General Managers globally to achieve first class process and delivery.
The Group Manufacturing Directors duties and responsibilities include:
*Global lead for manufacturing operations
*Create and implement best manufacturing practice from vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to improve what we do production, manufacturing & maintenance
*Support GMs in developing operational and engineering competencies to meet engineering, safety, operational and business requirements
*Drive process and part management relative to process safety, control, part conformance improvement, scrap reduction, process optimization
*Work with GMs to develop and implement compliant manufacturing strategies that meet customer market requirements and ensure alignment with strategies
*Champion digitization of manufacturing & maintenance
*Work with GMs to ensure robustness of process control to meet safety, out–put & through–put expectation
The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience:
*University Degree in Operations, Engineering, Management or similar
*Higher Degree in Operations Management/MBA (preferred)
*Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean/Kaizen qualified is highly desirable
*Significant engineering knowledge and experience with batch operations in a process manufacturing oriented, and dynamic environment
*Strong in industrial engineering methodologies, lean manufacturing, safety requirements, and operational excellence
*Demonstrated track record of significant engineering accomplishments, particularly in the areas of process, part, automation, and maintenance management as well as best practises
