Operations Director - UK

Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be working on a retained basis for a marketing leading, global manufacturing business. Our client is looking for a UK Operations Director to manage 6 sites across the UK.

Reporting into the Managing Director the UK Operations Director will be part of the Senior Management Team and will oversee site operations, deliver budgets, performance improvements and manage customer commitments.

The sites are based in Yorkshire, Midlands and the North West and we require some able to commute regularly to all 5.

Our client is a global organisation, with the UK turning over cGBP180m and employing over 1000 staff.

Operations Director – Duties & Responsibilities:

*Lead the site operations teams to deliver results in terms of Sales & Production, budget & KPI's
*Develop and encourage a culture of continuous improvement across sites with clear objectives outlined and delivered
*Oversee regional operations budgets, performance improvements, and cost reduction targets
*Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of core values to create a cohesive unit that is responsive to increasing demands
*Deliver succession plans to create high performing teams
*Collaborate and contribute to strategic objectives for the business

The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience:

*Degree qualified in engineering or manufacturing related subject
*Higher Degree in Operations Management/MBA (preferred)
*Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean/Kaizen qualified
*Must have experience as a multi–site Operation Manager overseeing a head count
*In–depth knowledge of supply chain operations
*Skilled in improving safety performance and managing people effectively
*Previous experience commercial or MD experience is beneficial
