ROLE PURPOSE:
The Commercial role will report to the CEO. This is an executive–level position responsible for the commercial strategy and development of the business through product proposition development marketing, organic sales and post–merger integration of M&A to drive business growth and market share.
EXPERIENCE:
A strong commercial background involving finance, marketing, direct sales, sales and channel management, contract negotiation, development of pricing strategies with a history of growing sales, margin and market share.
Demonstrated ability to successfully launch new products and build profitable income streams with the ability to identify new product opportunities. A real team player able to work well with the technical team to prioritise projects and accelerate time to market for new products.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
Product & Proposition Development – Identify new products and services to add to ITP (Intelligent Triple Protection) to enable the business to retain clients, win new business, and deliver excellent service cost effectively
M&A – Understand the market and which targeted acquisitions will help to accelerate the growth plan. Develop key relationships with internal and stakeholders to develop the M&A pipeline and manage all M&A acquisitions into the group
Develop a deep understanding of competitors and the industry, its products and services, opportunities and challenges.
Ensure that customers sign up to appropriate commercial contracts which offer adequate protection to the Group whilst optimising revenue and support and lead the optimisation of pricing through the business
Develop growth by delivering effective plans to maintain and grow market share, identify and secure new opportunities and drive customer plans
Lead and develop the marketing, procurement, IT and planning teams
Support the sales teams with targets and commission plans to drive profitable growth
Drive growth collaboration across the Security Services business and share best practice across the territories
OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Build personal capital and contribute to the company's reputation through participation in industry forums and wider networking
Build strong peer relationships across the group's businesses
Model the Way as a Colleague
Support your peers in delivering the business plan set by the CEO and be able to challenge those plans
KEY OUTPUTS/METRICS:
Deliver Revenue growth in line with budget (GBP)
Protect quality of earnings by control of Gross Profit Pounds
Deliver EBITDA above approved business plan
Understand CAPEX criteria and spend
Effective forecasting and cash management
Bonus criteria – typically EBITDA & Cash

Forming relationships with existing and new clients at a senior level
The right balance of sales drive, customer focus and attention to detail

PACKAGE:
Attractive base salary plus car, pension, health care etc.
Discretionary bonus opportunity of up to 50% and up to 75% inclusive of super bonus (pro–rated in first financial year).
Additional equity linked incentive plan ahead of MIP entry in due course
