Vice President / General Manager
This company is part of a leading global group manufacturing complex engineered products for major blue–chip companies operating primarily in the international aerospace sector. With a long history of delivering strong results & growth, they are now seeking to make this pivotal senior level appointment to manage & steer UK & overseas operations including finance, technical, HR, sales & BD, quality and logistics etc.
The role
* As VP/GM, reporting to the Group President in the US, you will strategically direct the business across 4 operations, whilst retaining day to day management and leadership as General Manager across all key functions at your base in the East Midlands
* P&L & balance sheet responsibility extends through the management of strategic growth whilst leading a committed and multi–disciplined workforce to deliver quality products to established LTA schedules at or below budgeted cost across all sites
* Manage & develop strong relationships externally at all levels with suppliers, stake holders & customers to grow the business following the impact of COVID, together with developing & interfacing internally with your senior management team to deliver against stretching KPIs including Productivity, RFT, sales and EBIT
The person
* Graduate with a proven strategic & robust operations background gained in leading & optimising demanding world class cost sensitive multi–sited manufacturing businesses, with a track record of achieving organic growth in European, Asian or North American market places.
* A dynamic, determined & resourceful individual with a sound technical background allied to good commercial & financial management, with established budgeting & forecasting expertise, together with excellent statistical & analytical skills
* Must be capable of taking a strategic view of the whole group as well as being comfortable with the shop floor environment – driving the day to day – together with strong natural leadership and change management skills, capable of challenging the status quo and bringing the organization along
This is a key position within a major global organization, that will test your ability to achieve EBIT targets as you lead by example to get things done from managing the supply chain to achieving inventory reduction whilst strategically managing and reporting to ensure detailed budgeted goals are achieved and cost objectives are met by all sites
