Description:
A large healthcare organisation is looking to appoint an Estates Projects Manager.
The role will be working in the Southwest, on a fixed term contract until the end of March 2022, at a band 8a.
The post holder will contribute at a senior level, having managerial input into the capital, site development and long–term Estate's strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
Utilise a working knowledge of Health Technical memorandums and Health Building Notes;
Demonstrate and assist on the permitting process, utilising prior experience;
Provide expertise on electrical, plumbing, medical gas;
Assist the team with evaluating engineering options and developing business cases for investment;
Responsible for the Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others;
Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Health and Safety Regulations and the organisation's Health and Safety policies and procedures;
Manage procurement processes and progression through to completion.
A successful candidate will have:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services related qualification;
A Master's degree or extensive in–depth experience in a similar role at a senior management level;
Must have experience relating to Projects within the NHS;
An Authorising Person, Competent Person/Responsible Person certificate;
Understanding of design, construction, maintenance and commissioning of engineering and building services and equipment;
Knowledge of waste management, legionella, energy, environmental, decontamination issues and life–critical engineering services.
