Homebased with regular travel to Northampton and London

As our new Head of Ecommerce you will lead our Ecommerce operation to drive profit and grow income through online sales that will continue to support our aim of providing more care for more people and to truly be there when it matters.
Reporting into the Director of Retail and Estates, the Head of E–Commerce will hold a key role on Sue Ryder's Retail Senior Leadership Team. They will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of an inclusive ecommerce approach, building on the experience that our shop customers already receive. Collaborating with internal (Marketing, Fundraising and Retail Operations) and external partners the Head of E–Commerce will work to drive profitability and engagement with our cause and to engage and build an online social community.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, develop and lead a cohesive team made up from colleagues and external partners to effectively develop e–commerce
• Oversee the evaluation of online metrics including; traffic, sales conversion and other analytical data to improve effectiveness of listings and maximising profitability
• Develop, test and implement ways to profitably list and sell more items online, which have been generously donated, to make our offer more accessible
• Lead the development of an online community as we establish ourselves as the place to find out how to reduce, reuse and recycle
• Participate in the development and implementation of strategic and tactical business plans with the Retail Senior Leadership Team to deliver the Retail strategy
• Set departmental objectives/KPI's and review and assess on–going performance of direct reports
About You
You will need a considerable commercial acumen and currently or recently worked in a role with similar accountabilities in retail E–Commerce, with a particular interest in and passion for sustainability and the "reduce, reuse, recycle" movement. Experience of working in charity retail is not essential but you'll need to be a great collaborator and skilled at listening and engaging with colleagues across a diverse retail spectrum. The successful applicant will be an established and proven leader, with demonstrated abilities, driving best practice through Ecommerce.
