Our client, a leading consumer services organisation is looking to appoint the exciting new role of Brand Communications Manager.
The Purpose of this role is to champion the organisations purpose, via external media channels to prospects, new and existing customers, and via internal channels, to reach all our colleagues.
You will work with a PR and Media agency to drive an enhanced brand reputation in the media, through maximising opportunities to illustrate and engage the external audience with the organisations Purpose in action.
It is important to manage announcements or protect brand reputation but will work in tandem with internal specialist teams to build events and stories which get maximum positive exposure of our multi channel customer offer.
The role will also work with our Public Affairs consultants to drive our campaigning goals, to effect lasting change.
You will also lead a small Internal Comms team, the job holder will manage all internal channels to engage the c. 8000 colleagues with our Purpose, who should in turn become advocates for the organisation. You will also champion the Employment Brand internally and externally, to build one view of the business, its work, and its teams.
What we need:
To positively drive the Brand Reputation and Purpose in the external environment through proactive use of media relationships and the organisations network of communities.
To design and lead PR marketing and eventing campaigns which drive revenue, brand & purpose awareness, and appeal in line with the end to end consumer experience.
To work across our network supporting, and contributing to campaigning and lobbying objectives of the movement and driving bespoke organisational objectives.
To create a culture of engagement and feedback amongst colleagues, through the judicious and inspiring use of online / real world conferences, communications and eventing to drive team engagement for the purpose.
Who we're looking for
Degree level qualification or equivalent in any subject in Communications, Business Studies, Marketing or SME related subjects and ideally professional memberships with/for: CMA/CIPR/CIM membership
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience in managing and delivering budgets and team performance.
Experience managing effective internal and external agencies and the media.
Experience of commercial marketing
Ability to cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with the media and colleagues.
Experience of influencing senior managers.
Experience in CR strategies and lobbying
Experience of running an internal comms department of a large organisation
