Finance Business Partner - Scarborough

3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home

The role:

Working under the leadership of the CFO, this role will participate in overall business planning and forecasting and work closely with senior management to increase the company's efficiency and profitability by assisting with the medium and long-term financial plan. You will have a proven track record of delivering business management information in an automated and digital format to allow thoughtful strategic input.

Duties:
  • Managing 1 direct report
  • Producing models to project long term growth and determine the impacting business factors
  • Analysing financial and operational results to better understand company performance
  • Utilising BI tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance
  • Work with the leadership team and respective departments to build annual budgets and re-forecasts
  • Lead on product costing, including labour and material and develop reporting methods to compare actual output to standard costings
  • Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
  • Communicating results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations
  • Supporting the CFO and Finance Manager in budget development, budgetary control, forecasting, financial modelling, and the development, design and implementation of systems and controls, financial policies, and procedures
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial commentaries for business reporting


Experience:
  • A fully qualified Accountant with experience in a commercial finance role
  • Minimum 3 Years Post qualified experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Able to solve complex problems and high level of commercial acumen
  • Management accounting experience including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain information in a clear and understandable way to non-finance professionals and to interpret needs in financial modelling
  • Strong Excel skills with experience using MI tools such as Power BI
  • Sage experience advantageous.
