An opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partnerto join a leading wholesale food distributor and the preferred supply partner for over 60,000 customers across the UK.

The HR Operations team is part of the larger People & Sustainability team which plays an integral part in the business.

Reporting to the Head of HR for the southern region, you will be the first point of contact for all HR business as usual activities within the assigned business area, and will work with key stakeholders to support the delivery of the People Plan ensuring business objectives are successfully achieved.

Key responsibilities for the HR Business Partner will include:

* Tomanage all HR related activities across all areas of responsibility focussing on the value add and managing tactical delivery through a direct report, HR Business Advisor.

* Being a key member of the site/department leadership team to enable influence at a senior level to driveproactiveHR planning, initiatives, guidanceand efficiencies.

* To ensure legal compliance, to minimise risk and optimise the commercial value ofthebusiness.

* Toact as Number 2 for the Head of HR where necessary and to lead national projects as directed by the Head of HR Operations/HR Leadership team.

* Work with wider HR Operations team to mentor and upskillteam members.

A bit about you:

Experience of working across the whole employee life cycle (recruitment, development, performance management, motivation, reward and retention and exit management)

Experience of handling difficult and sensitive redundancy, discipline, capability and grievance casework

*

Demonstrateeffective facilitationskills for individual and group work

*

Demonstrate continuous professional development both internally and externally

* Experience of dealing with trade unions

*

CIPD Level 7 qualified

*

Robust and capable commercially and can evidence HR plans, approaches and their commercial/financial impacts.

*

Hassuccessfullymanaged sizeable HR/business changeprojects within a mediumto largesized workforcewith evidence of ROI.

*

Confidently ableto challengeand driving solutions with Directors and Senior Managers.

*

Robust and knowledgeable in all core HR disciplines and with a collaborative and solutions–based approach.

*

Line management experience.

On offer is a competitive package with a basic salary up to GBP45,000, car allowance of GBP6,000, pension, healthcare, 25 days holiday plus benefits
