About the Company
Our client provides leading end–to–end supply chain transport and logistics across the UK and Europe.
As Account Director you will have full ownership and responsibility for a large retail open book transport contract circa 50 million. You will adopt a consultant led and proactive approach to leverage wider group companies to increase revenues. Working closely with your senior colleagues you will work on multiple projects to meet the business needs.

Proven extensive experience within a similar or Senior Account Management role
Ambitious & Progressive, Enterprising, Professional, Supportive and Passionate
Exposure to operating within a commercial environment
Commercially astute and is strategically aware
Energetic and has a natural desire to generate and drive improvements
Good people engagement skills, self–driven, positive can–do attitude.
Strong leadership and engagement skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a customer facing environment
Ability to maintain the very highest levels of attention to detail even when under pressure
Proven track record in Transport & Logistics industry
Able to form and build strong relationships quickly
Able to positively collaborate with others

Developing and implementing individual customer strategy
Development of partnerships to enable clear strategic direction
Adopt a consultant led and proactive approach to leverage wider group companies to increase revenues.
Lead the operational management team to ensure cost, service, safety and quality standards are met in line with contract and customer requirements
The contract is operating under a value share mechanism, therefore you will need to drive continuous financial value through improvements in both operations and financial delivery
Creating a continuous improvement culture via engagement
Lead, develop and manage your direct reports in a positive, energetic manner and will drive a high–performing culture and engaged workforce by effective open communication and strong leadership
Responsible for providing effective communications at all levels, between our customers, the company management teams and relevant departments to ensure effective and consistent communication
