Purpose of Position

Our client is looking for a strong candidate who will devise strategy and oversee the management of social media activity for all clients across multiple channels, lead new business opportunities across the company and work to bring in new social media accounts. You will be an experienced, strategic and a highly creative individual with a PR background to lead the client's social media marketing efforts across all clients.

The Head of Social Media will work to create high quality strategies, creative content and leveraging both established and emerging platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Report on the performance of the social strategy against the agreed KPIs.
Implement listening and responding programmes, conduct conversation audits and influencer research when appropriate for the client's requirements.
Utilise conversation and advocacy platforms and undertake reputation management if required.
To be able to develop market–leading social media strategies based around high–quality content for clients
To bring PR experience to the roll to ensure the platforms are in line with client PR strategies.
Present the offerings to the clients.Background & Skill

Experience of creating content alongside a strategy to try to force the content to go viral
Experience leading a small team.
Must have a keen interest in building/continuing to develop a brand on social media through following competitor activity and reviewing engagement statistics to optimise activity.
Excellent attention to detail.
The candidate must work well alone or within a team
Must have the ability to meet strict deadlines
Proven experience of working on creating strategies and generating new ideas for social media content that utilise video heavily.
Proven experience of working with a team to manage platforms
Experience in a PR position
