Reporting to the owner and the board, the Managing Director will be responsible for managing business operations. There will be five heads of department across the business to lead and strategise with in this key role for the business as it experiences an upward trajectory in turnover.

Outstanding capability in the following areas required:

People management – capability to lead a senior management team of five and staff of 40+ over a variety of locations
Commercial awareness and capability – to be able to manage risk and deliver performance across all business areas.
Technical proficient and credibility in accountancy, ideally with experience in practice and industry.
In addition the role will involve capabilities in the following areas:

Reporting to the board and shareholders.
Supporting the directors in their roles.
Company governance and secretarial.
Practice Financial Management.
Practice HR.
Use of technology in a modern business
KPI and performance reporting in a practice
Managing culture.
Managing flexible working, working from home and safe working.
Performance appraising senior staff.
Ambition to take on an expanding portfolio.
