They are looking to recruit a senior, Head of Supply Quality position for their site based in Leeds, overseeing all the supply quality aspects and building the team for the future growth.

My client is an exciting automotive manufacturing business that is heavily investing in new technologies within manufacturing. They are growing exponentially and have invested heavily in the manufacturing, R & D and quality functions of the business.
They are looking for a senior quality professional to become their Head of Supply Quality. Based from their Leeds facility, you will be responsible for managing all SPQA and SQIG activities, designing the strategy for resolving any supply quality issues and ensuring the production process is smooth with no defects.
Description
As Head of Supply Quality, you will be responsible for:
Reducing quality line defects and ensuring development of the SPQA Engineers in the team.
Identifying supply quality issues at the earliest stage and working closely with suppliers to resolving these issues.
Designing and creating a supply quality strategy to fit the needs of multiple business functions including production.
To develop SPQA policies that reflect across all the manufacturing facilities.
Strengthening the part re–validation and process auditing.
Building the SQ team's competencies and skill–set, with remit to develop the team in your image.
Communicating and liaising with key stakeholders across the business, with regular updates on any quality related issues.Profile
The successful candidate must be:
An experienced, highly professional senior quality manager with in–depth knowledge and experience of supply quality. Automotive experience is essential.
Degree qualified or equivalent within mechanical or automotive engineering.
Experienced and have had exposure to differing Quality Management Systems and who has built their own QMS also.
An innovator, able to develop new strategies within supply quality and be able to make a significant difference.
Adept at dealing with difficult situations including supply quality, customer complaints and internal management.
Knowledgeable of specific SPQA policy projects including Firewall and Jigfix. Job Offer
The business is willing to offer:
GBP70–GBP80k basic annual salary dependent on experience.
