Interim Financial Controller required for a successful SME manufacturing company who have recently undergone a high profile deal to deal acquisition and as such are undergoing a period of change.
As Financial Controller you will be reporting to the FD with a dotted line to the CFO. Your remit will be to steady the ship, sort out any ongoing or upcoming issues and ensure that robust Financial Controls are in place and being adhered to.
Duties:
We are looking for a qualified accountant who has operated at Financial Controller level for a number of years and has at least 10 years PQ experience.
As Financial Controller you will be reporting to the FD with a dotted line to the CFO. Your remit will be to steady the ship, sort out any ongoing or upcoming issues and ensure that robust Financial Controls are in place and being adhered to.
Duties:
- Overseeing the production of management accounts population of excel management accounts pack and production of board pack aspects.
- Analysis of month end variances
- Production and development of month end balance sheet lead schedules.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Oversee the nominal ledger
- Responsible for monthly Pay roll and associated HMRC returns
- Responsible for day to operational finance, payment runs, payments and receipts processing.
- Responsible for Quarterly VAT submissions
- Oversight of our Stock factoring facility
- Submission of monthly private equity returns
- Population of year end tax packs.
- Indirectly responsible for the reporting line of the management accountant, financial accountant, purchase ledger clerk and sales ledger clerk
We are looking for a qualified accountant who has operated at Financial Controller level for a number of years and has at least 10 years PQ experience.
- CIMA / ACA or ACCA qualified
- Excellent Excel skills
- Understanding of ERP and BI reporting systems
- SME Manufacturing experience is advantageous
- Also, experience of dealing with PE companies would be advantageous
