Based: Swinton area

Our client is an ambitious, entrepreneurial SME who have recently undergone an MBO. With plans to increase turnover by 50% in the next 3-5 years, this is an exciting time for a qualified Accountant to join them on their journey as Financial Controller. Working closely with the Board of Directors you will act as a business partner to support existing business operations as well as strategy for growth going forwards, advising on all things financial

Role:
- Sitting on the senior management team, responsible for 1 staff memenber
- Developing systems and enhancing financial reporting and forecasting capabilities
- Developing and maintaining strong financial controls and a new ERP system implementation/upgrade
- Monthly reporting to the board including reviewing accounts, preparing the board pack and developing full monthly MI
- Financial forecasting - scenario based financial modelling
- Managing cash flow
- Developing operational and financial KPI dashboards
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and involvement in product costing and labour recovery projects
- Reviewing and analysing the financial impact of customer and commercial contracts and proposals to minimise financial risk
- Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and advisors
- Involvement in large projects across finance and the wider business
Experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant
- Experience within manufacturing/distribution is essential (from practice or industry)
- Strong ERP/system implementation experience
- Strong Excel & financial modelling skills
- Pro-active, solution focused with a desire to work in a fast moving, growing business with excellent opportunity for development
