This role will see the successful candidate join the Systems Engineering team within the Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) business area, and take a key role in the development of an Electronic Warfare (EW) training capability for NATO Joint Electronic Warfare Core Staff (JEWCS). This is a high profile project, which will provide the opportunity to work with subcontractors, the MOD and the end Customer.
The NATO JEWCS Integrated Project Team (IPT) is a prime contract IPT based at our Southampton office with, the solution provided by several major sub–contracts. NATO JEWCS is the provision of a realistic electronic environment (radar and communications jamming, simulation and surveillance equipment) for NATO units under
training.
Working within a multi–disciplined team, you will support the requirement manager by managing requirements across the whole lifecycle using the IBM Rational DOORS requirements management tool. The role will include
capturing and analysing stakeholder and internal requirements, maintaining full traceability at all levels, and documenting the results of verification activities to demonstrate compliance. You will manage relationships with customer and sub–contractor requirements managers.

Setting up and managing DOORS databases.
Capturing, analysing, reviewing and specifying requirements.
Managing and influencing all levels of requirements to enable design and development decisions.
Derive use cases at system and sub–system level to ensure requirements understanding and compliance
Managing test and requirements traceability to achieve certification and delivery.
Be responsible for producing, maintaining the product breakdown structure for the system.
Working with and influencing key project stakeholders.
Managing relationships with customer and sub–contractors.
Employ your radar, communications and Electronic Warfare technology, performance, operational capabilities, and
use.
Actively support knowledge sharing and exploitation of best practice.
Travel within the UK to meet with our customers and industry partners.
You really must have:
High proficiency in multi–stakeholder requirements elicitation, negotiation, definition, traceability, and evidence based
compliance, for large/complex projects.
Highly skilled in the use of IBM Rational DOORS.
Experience of working across, the Systems Engineering lifecycle.
Self–motivated with a strong aptitude for problem solving and an ability to drive difficult issues to conclusion in
support of team goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience of delivery to a variety of internal and external
stakeholders of varying seniorities.
Experience / strong understanding of airborne defence sensor systems.
It would be nice if you had:
Knowledge of military passive and active RF sensor systems, including signal processing and identification, and
emitter classification.
Experience of work package management at all stages of project delivery – cost and schedule planning, execution,
and reporting.
Knowledge of Model Base System Engineering (MBSE) in particular use case model generation.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally in a high
pressure environment
