Divisional Legal Manager - National Residential Property Developer (Suffolk)

Client Details

Our client is a high profile and nationally renowned residential property developer.

Description

You will be required to manage the Divisional Legal Centre and the disposal of approximately 2,750 plots per annum together with part exchanges and the associated resales.

You will manage a team of 15-17 legal professionals, and will be responsible for ensuring the team provides an efficient plot conveyancing service various Business Units, whilst ensuring that you have a professional, motivated team that realises its full potential and provides a high quality service to both its internal and its external customers.

You will be supported by an Assistant Divisional Legal Manager who will assist with operational, technical and HR-related tasks. The Department consists of a Divisional Legal Manager, an Assistant Divisional Legal Manager, a Legal Support, a number of Estate Conveyancers and Conveyancing Assistants.

You will manage and lead an efficient, service led and cost effective plot conveyancing function that supports the Business Units, particularly in relation to its key operation of plot sales; and conduct, manage and report on a variety of business administration matters, including matters relating to closed sites and historic issues.

Profile

The successful candidate is likely to be a UK or Common Law qualified Lawyer with at least three years of PQE.

You will have experience of residential property transactions in the UK and will be likely to have a working knowledge of:
  • New build
  • Development agreements
  • Infrstructure agreements
  • Energy and Utilities agreements
  • Property Management agreements.
