Regeneration Programme Manager
*South London* *hybrid / flexible working* *Town Centre Regeneration*
The role:
The councilhas been awarded GBP11.35 m of Future High Streets Funding (FHSF). The funding will allow us to realise our ambitions for Sutton town centre and to deliver a more diverse high street offer that is fit for the future.
The funding complemented with the Council's ongoing Town Centre Regeneration Programme will enable us to make further direct interventions to activate empty or unused buildings, build new and affordable homes contributing to the physical regeneration of the high street, and provide more flexible commercial workspaces
Main Accountabilities for the Regeneration Programme Manager (Town Centre)
Lead on delivering:
??? The boroughseconomic recovery and jobs after lockdown
??? key regeneration projects, including the London Cancer Hub and town centre
??? strategic transport improvements for the borough's residents
??? the borough's response to the climate emergency.
The role is expected to be focussed on Town centre projects and programmes and provide the team with additional programme management resources to initiate and set up new projects. The team is currently managing circa GBP25m capital and revenue programmes with significant further council investment expected over the coming years.
Key skills and experience:
* You will have a proven track record of capital delivery programme management and managing complex partnership in town centre locations
* Experience of developing or inputting into procurement plans, managing suppliers and negotiating services contracts in relation to monitoring and evaluation tasks
* Experience in monitoring and evaluation or a related sector. Previous involvement in schemes from conception to operation and undertaken monitoring and evaluation activities over a number of years. Be capable of rapidly grasping concepts and presenting ideas, being persuasive and committed to achieving agreed goals and targets
