Job Title: Head of Automation
Location: UK–London
Overview:
My Client is urgently seeking an experienced Practice Lead to head up our Automation service line, you will quickly become a trusted partner to our clients and will work with them strategically on their Automation journey.
Responsibilities:
* Owns the creation and execution of the strategic plan for Quality Engineering to mature the delivery capability in line with the broader strategy.
* Delivers the service roadmap, builds and maintains an appropriate delivery capability for the service.
* Ensures there is an appropriate number of suitably skilled and experienced delivery consultants for Quality Engineering, taking account of current and forecast demand, industry trends and staff turnover.
* Works with international colleagues to ensure an effective global approach to delivery of the service/vertical practice and alignment of tools and methodologies.
* Reviews progress, evaluates success and captures lessons with the service delivery team, seizing opportunities to implement improvement initiatives.
* Drives the implementation of best practice and innovative delivery initiatives in line with company strategy.
* Creates and maintains internal projects to facilitate execution and tracking of project progress against the service roadmap and allocated budget.
* Shapes, designs and plans the service line, including promoting the rollout of new services into the business.
* Works with the sales teams with pre–sales including proposals, bids, RFP's and value propositions
* Supports the service delivery teams to ensure it is successful and adheres to their standards, values and best practice.
* Enhances the culture of contribution to the compnay (as well as the customer) to drive employee engagement, innovation and delivery excellence.
Qualifications:
Essential:
* Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
* Additional relevant certification in relevant discipline
* One or more industry certifications
Desirable:
* Additional course or certification in IT
* Management certification or qualification
* Project Management qualification
