Account Director / Programme Director – Staffing Management – National Multi–site

My client, a leading global logistics business, has an exciting opportunity for a Multi–site Account Director to join their team on a permanent basis based in Manchester. As the Account Director, you will build up, grow, and support the businesses operations teams' business needs for temporary hourly paid support, working in partnership with external staffing providers.
What you will be doing?
* Create an effective team, engage, and ensure high–performance is achieved.
* Build up and scale the staffing network across the EU.
* Work on long–term initiatives to improve the efficiency, processes, and day–to–day operations
* Manage senior stakeholders on a multinational level.
* Monitor and ensure staffing agencies meet agreed service level agreements, follow up if required.
* Be responsible for the production of metrics relating to temporary staffing and the contingent workforce.
* Work on long–term initiatives to improve efficiency, processes, and day–to–day operations.
* Understand and be involved in the Labour Planning Process. Ensure the planning team is kept up to date with the current labour supply, highlighting any concerns in a timely manner.
* Co–ordinate regular meetings between agencies across the EU and the business to drive best practices across the sites, and to address any concerns.
* Audit agencies regularly on quality of assessment and recruitment processes. Increase audits as appropriate.
What we are looking for?
* A University degree or equivalent, ideally in HR, Logistics, Organisational Management, Business Administration, or a related field
* Have a strategic and entrepreneurial mind–set
* Possess excellent communication skills with internal and external parties, along with the ability to mediate between large groups of suppliers
* Possess strong people management and leadership skills
* An understanding of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be advantageous
