Description :–
Due to the impending retirement of the current CEO, our client, Aspatria Farmers, is looking to recruit a CEO who can help steer the company through the next stage of its exciting development. Aspatria Farmers is a highly successful farmer owned cooperative, based in North Cumbria and serves a member and customer base primarily in Cumbria and Dumfriesshire.
The business is owned with 1,000 farmer members and has a turnover of GBP25m primarily focussed on providing the inputs and advice to dairy, beef and sheep farmers in its area. The business is expert at supplying and advising farmers on feed, arable inputs, engineering services and animal health products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day–to–day management of the business, leading the management team and the development and implementation of the business's strategic plans.
It is key that the successful candidate is an experienced people manager as well as having a proven track record of managing a successful business in the agricultural supply industry.
As the business is farmer owned business it is also important that the person chosen has a good understanding of farming, can develop relationships with farmer customers and has
the ability to co–operate with others to drive local rural and agricultural initiatives.
