Job Title: Financial Controller

Contract: Permanent, Full–Time

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Atalian Servest is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join our passionate and driven team in Bury St Edmunds on a permanent basis!

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Management of the Corporate finance team, including Financial Reporting, Treasury, Business Partnering, Accounts Payable and other Corporate workstreams.
UK Group monthly consolidated reporting (approx. 20 entities of varying sizes) in line with published group reporting timetables – supported by Financial Accountant.
Cash management – reviewing daily cash in the UK Group and responsibility for short and long term cash forecasting.
Oversee and review quarterly Group VAT returns.
Responsibility for centralised Accounts Payable function – AP Manager in place.
Oversight and review of year–end consolidation and statutory accounts for Group and subsidiary companies under IFRS and FRS 101.
Responsibility for Group elements of the year–end audit and provision of reports to senior management as required.
Oversight of Business Partnering team, providing commercial insight to the financial performance of departments.
Key contact with the parent company in France on financial reporting and cash matters.
Driving improvements in Group processes and controls.

About You:

ACA/ACCA qualified – ideally from a Practice background.
Experience in managing a finance team – previous Financial Controller experience desirable.
Highly competent in Excel.
Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and manage own workload and workload of the team.
Confident communicator, with the ability to articulate financial information and analysis to stakeholders.
Independent thinker, keen problem solver with a 'can–do' attitude.
Experience using finance systems – use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Magnitude desirable.
