We are delighted to offer a unique and exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, innovative and fast–growing company within Financial Services. If you enjoy working in a vibrant organisation which embraces data science and are truly customer–focussed but want something different than the usual Banking environment, then this is an opportunity for you.
Our client is a leading embedded finance lender who are well established (over 5 years old and already lent GBP200m+) and heading for huge growth over the coming years following significant investment. They have big plans to disrupt and become the dominant force in UK consumer credit using a data–led approach to everything they do.
As Head of Pricing , you will be responsible for delivering a pricing strategy that enables them to rapidly grow into its technological capabilities and expand at scale. You will balance credit risk, cost of funds and cutting–edge segmental analysis to generate year–on–year growing levels of sustainable, high return business through existing distribution channels.
The role will expand from these foundations to implement and oversee the automation of effective pricing delivery to drive high quality business with suitable returns across a range of channels.
Responsibilities of the Head of Pricing:
* Implement a pricing strategy and rhythm that underpins a growth strategy over the next 12+ months with strong returns and margins. Run the governance associated with this; including chairing Pricing Committee.
* Embed and automate performance–led reporting that identifies key growth and efficiency opportunities.
* Build a performance culture that ensures everyone understands their role in delivering success and is aligned behind the common objectives.
* "Two–speed" leadership to tactically deliver great results in the short term without losing focus on longer term strategic objectives that will achieve the plan.
* Identify an automation strategy involving AI and / or Machine Learning that enables the business to efficiently scale and grow at pace over the course of the 5–year plan.
* Use pricing to drive better "Aggregator SEO" across key target segments.
Desirable skills to be the Head of Pricing:
* Experience working in consumer credit (loans, credit cards, mortgages, retail finance, etc.) including knowledge of key distribution channels and intermediary sales
* Keen analytical skills, with a strong knowledge base in pricing and returns
* Knowledge of and a vision for how automation could unlock the potential of the business.
* Experience and knowledge of key financial components of pricing and how this drives and influences P&L.
Our client has the financial backing and the ambition to offer best–in–class product propositions spanning all areas of consumer and B2B software, for example, Airbnb, Shopify and Netflix. The role requires excellent attention to detail and analytical capabilities to identify the key opportunities and segments to deliver growth as well as the leadership to own this within the business.
If this sounds like the type of business you want to join and have a background in the UK consumer credit markets, particularly the personal loans, retail finance and auto finance markets, please apply now
