Head of Design (Complex Industrial Builds)

This dynamic, forward thinking business specialise in the design, development and delivery of complex, multi–disciplinary construction projects for a range of blue chip and leading organisations. All of their projects are centred around award winning eco–friendly, sustainable builds which are paving the way for the industry to follow suit. They have grown consistently across the past 3 years and work with a number of growing sectors within food manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, energy and distribution. They are looking to invest into the future of the business and are therefore looking to recruit a Head of Design that will be instrumental in the growth of the business.

This is a senior management role where you will report directly into the Managing Director and take responsibility of the design team which comprises of 7 staff but you will have autonomy to build and grow your team as the company grows. You will have a hands on approach to leadership and will occasionally need to roll your sleeves up and lead from the front. A huge part of this role would be to help the team professionally develop. Your role will be to coordinating design on complex projects, leading their team of engineers and architects through the design process and then later through the coordination of design during construction.

This role would therefore ideally suit a Head of Design from a MEP, Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Process background who has experience of coordinating design on complex projects who is looking to join a very well run business. You will be dynamic, excited about the projects and motivated to do brilliant client work, find solutions to problems whilst being a great team player who is looking to join a growing business where you will play an integral part in the success of the business.

The Person;

Head of Design
From a MEP, Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Process background
Experience of working on complex industrial projects
Excellent communication skills
Able to lead and build a team
Has ambition to progress their career
