A large manufacturing company located on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex are currently looking for a Director of Quality & Business Improvement to join their team on a permanent basis.
Depending upon experience, this position will be looking to pay between GBP80,000 – GBP100,000 per annum.
What does the role involve?
Do you possess a strong business process/quality background in electronics hardware and software design and manufacture? If so, our client an international company with sites in the UK and USA is looking for a Director of Quality & Business Improvement to drive improvement through all aspects of the business and will include the introduction of a quality culture within the organisation improving all business processes and efficiency.
Duties:
Create and lead a market led strategy for both product assurance and business improvement
Responsible for maintenance and introduction of the company's accreditation's
Review and maintain all company processes
Responsible for several key business management systems
Implement and maintain a continuous improvement driven culture throughout the global enterprise
Responsible for Health and Safety processes across all sites
Management of NPI and product life cycle planning
Maintain and periodically test the company's Business Continuity plan
Management of company infrastructure, buildings, maintenance, security, communications etc
Experience:
Experience in collaboratively leading people through change in a complex engineering and manufacturing business is essential
Must be educated HND level or above in Quality Management or an Engineering subject
Must have relevant Industrial Experience within Electronics Hardware and Software development. Relevant Industrial Experience of ISO, AS & OHSAS standards
Excellent communication skills are required along with good planning and project management skills.
Able to work at all levels of an organisation
Familiarity with NPI, quality standards and processes
Good knowledge of problem–solving tools and techniques
