Head of Quality – you'll currently be a master of all quality, health & safety and environmental, looking to apply those skills and develop, mentor and coach a team. BASIC SALARY: GBP50,000 –GBP55,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Head of Quality – Manufacturer of engineered products
As Head of Quality, and a member of the Senior Management Team, your key role is to devise, lead and implement all quality, environmental and Health & Safety elements. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of both the quality strategy and strategic operational goals.
Key tasks:
?? Play a key role in the Senior Management team (Managing Director, Sales Director, Finance Director, Production Manager, Supply Chain Director) ensuring the business achieves its fiscal and strategic goals.
?? Lead, coach, manage and mentor a team of 7.
?? Liaise with the US site to ensure compliance and standards are maintained.
?? Work closely with current suppliers, particularly of raw materials (China / Taiwan / Europe / Mexico and US), assist in the assessment of potential new suppliers.
?? Assess and ensure QMS is fit for purpose.
Ultimately, you will create an environment where quality is identified as a critical customer requirement and is never compromised.

Most likely you will have:
?? A strong track record in previously implementing a variety of quality systems but in particular ISO 9001/2015.
?? A continuous improvement focus, consistently looking for qualified efficiencies and processes.
?? Previously managed and developed a quality team.
?? Assisted in the defining of budgets and played a commercial role.
?? Worked within a technical/engineered products/manufacturing environment and a turnover of GBP20–25million minimum.
