Rapidly growing provider of products and services to the medical and healthcare sector is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to join the senior management team. The COO will manage, coach and lead teams to deliver the company's operational objectives and ensure that best practice is adhered to.

Commutable from: Worcester, Redditch, Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Coventry

Salary: GBP 60,000 – GBP 70,000 p.a. + Bonus + Private Medical + Pension

The Role

The Chief Operating Officer will ultimately ensure that the business delivers a first–class service to their clients including achieving the key performance metrics for customers, overseeing and managing all operational activity, management of all aspects of service delivery and smooth implementation of new customer contracts into the business.

The Chief Operating Officer will manage people within the business ensuring best practice at all times and a motivated and supportive working environment is created to achieve success. You will manage budgets and headcount including adaptations to uplifts in workload.

The COO will manage a wide range of operations including remote/field based operations and multiple workshops aligned to a manufacturing format. You will support accurate and suitable reporting of information and maintain an acute awareness of budgets and profit and loss considerations.

The Person

The Chief Operating Officer will possess extensive experience leading people and business operations within a medical/healthcare product or service setting and ideally be conversant with medical quality standards and procedures.

You will be conversant with modern analytical tools for manufacturing, possess a lean mindset and be able to inspire and motivate the team. The COO will work to create the most positive and inclusive working culture in the business and applicants will be able to demonstrate a proven record in improving business operational performance.

The COO will possess proven knowledge of QHSE, ISO and best practice standards for medical manufacturing and be conversant with both Microsoft Office and financial reporting tools such as profit and loss. You will be a passionate motivator of teams and be able to inspire high performance in a business from your reporting teams.
