Role: Senior Programme Manager
Location: West Sussex
Salary: Up to GBP85000
THE ROLE:
A cutting–edge renewable energy technology company with a strong pedigree within engineering and manufacturing of their bespoke products and systems, who are growing exponentially, are seeking a Senior Programme Manager to plan and lead portfolios of technically complex engineering projects / programmes from R&D through to start of production / product launch
THE CANDIDATE:
You will be a proven Senior Programme Leader, both educated in and with substantial experience within Engineering. You will have a proven track record of delivering projects / programmes to time , cost and quality and be capable of the following :
+ defining plans , delivering on set milestones through strong stakeholder engagement and acting as prime point of contact for key customers and suppliers
+ Managing programme / project risks , identifying, quantifying and mitigating them and escalating to senior management as is appropriate
+ Exceptional reporting skills with experience conducting regular project / programme reviews , collating and consolidating all project / programme components ( scope , schedule , resource requirements , budgets , risks , opportunities and issues , and quality requirements ) to articulate overall project / programme performance
+ Strong grasp of contractual and commercial requirements
+ Knowledgeable in change management procedures
+ Capable of conflict resolution
+ Ability to supervise and develop direct reports
+ Embrace a culture of continuous improvement
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Qualified in a relevant engineering discipline
+ Extensive experience of portfolio , programme and/or project management
+ Managing and leading small teams
+ Good understanding of project management techniques underpinned by technical background
+ Experience of project managing or working within technically complex engineering projects from R&D through to start of production/product launch
+ Good experience of customer and supplier relationship management
+ Experience in the following would also be advantageous:
– MS Project Server ; APM and / or PRINCE2
– Agile project management techniques ( i.e. Sprint / Scrum )
– Process development and continuous improvement
