Brightwork is currently recruiting a Business Development Manager who will report directly to the Director of the UK office, based in Falkirk, Scotland.
Responsibilities
Contacting existing network to understand if opportunities exist
Strategies and propose avenues to open doors to the key decision makers. This will necessitate researching and understanding of the customers brands including understanding the key channels they sell in and the identification of commercial opportunities that are aligned with the services and products we can supply.
Identification of key and relevant decision makers within target customers– with a view to identifying the best route to winning business. These may include procurement, NPD, or marketing people or a combination thereof
This may involve:
(i) liaising with client's offices where appropriate to assist in research needs as well as preparation of useful and relevant communication material to assist communications as well as brand understanding.
(ii) liaising and briefing our client's innovations department to assist in preparation of relevant innovation and/or design work in line with identified commercial opportunities.
(iii) commitment to travel where needed.
Where appropriate the participation in trade shows
Receiving briefs from customer and converting these to relevant enquiries that can be channelled through to project managers.
Develop and agree pricing strategies with the MD and wider team
Receiving technical feedback from the project management team and liaising with the customer. Continuing this process until an order is received
Keeping the customer informed as to the status of production and delivery
To be aware of competitor activity and be able to report on key issues
Prepare and deliver annual budgets, monthly reports etc as requested
Experience
Premium drinks luxury packaging experience preferred
Extensive Business Development experience
Dynamic and forward–thinking individual
Self Starter
Excellent communicator
Confident
